Japanese designers are using computer design and inkjet printers to make comparatively inexpensive kimono: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040917/ap_on_hi_te/hightech_kimonos

This is kind of a neat idea; it would be very, very cool if it caught on and Japanese people started wearing kimono, or neokimono, day-to-day again. I wonder if one could apply some of the same principles to "national dress" in other countries.

Cheers,
Andrew
(yes, hoping for the day that someone wearing a great kilt and carrying a broadsword can walk down Main Street in Newtown and not be thought unusual. Not that that someone would be me; I like trousers, and wool next to my skin itches :-)

We all know the famous "Nigerian spam," right? Well, now it claims to be running out of Togo, and it's personalised!

I'd love to know how many Americans have the surname of "Aelfwine" :-)
