This started as an entry for "1001 Deaths of Lord Voldemort," before I realised it simply couldn't be short enough. I wrote it months ago--haven't really the time to write now, but I thought I'd go ahead and post it up.
The Wheel of Morality with eventually show: "Don't bash fen. They can hit back."

A squad of Death Eaters at his side, Voldemort Apparated into the far end of Diagon Alley. It was time to show the world his power with a splashy public attack. He’d sent a Polyjuiced Wormtail out the day before to search for a suitable target, and his minion had reported back with a perfect choice: a filthy little shop selling books of both Muggle and Magical origins, scandalously intermixed. Most of them, furthermore, were of that vile form of fiction which concerned adventures in nonexistent lands and on other planets.
