New camera in the house, so we took a walk and did some shooting this afternoon.

My neighbour's sheep and goats.

A local rock and tree.

A crouching pig, oak, after the fashion of Han dynasty jade carvings. My work of a couple of years back. (Not from this afternoon's walk, obviously, but a test of the camera's macro capabilities.)

Date: 2008-12-28 07:45 pm (UTC)It's a little odd for me as well--most of my growing up, we lived in an area where there weren't chickens, let alone sheep.
It's mostly hobby-farming, here in my town--I think this fellow keeps his sheep and goats as pets. There's a couple of small dairy farms, and horses are probably the most common large animal.
