I just got the news from

a_treitell. Robert Lynn Asprin, author of the hilariously funny MYTH Inc. and Phule's Company novels, which sent up high fantasy and mercenary space opera with great good humour and deep affection, died yesterday at his home in New Orleans. God rest him.

Co-founder of the Great Dark Horde and the Dorsai Irregulars. Filk singer-songwriter. Another legend I never got to meet.

Peace to him. May flights of (TOS) Klingon angels sing him to his rest.
